Understand exactly what you'll pay, when, and how much you can save. Compare all three payment paths side by side, with worked examples for a $500, $1,500, and $3,000 purchase.
Every Progressive Leasing agreement gives you three legitimate ways to own the item. The path you choose can save — or cost — you hundreds.
Same as cash — no lease cost above retail
Total on a $1,000 item — same as buying with cash
Discounted payoff after day 90
Estimated total if you buy out at month 6
12-month scheduled payments
Total after 12 months of scheduled payments
Choose weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments — whichever aligns with how you get paid. Example based on a standard 12-month lease of a $1,000 item.
Estimated total costs across all three payment paths. Actual amounts vary by state and lease terms — check your specific agreement for exact numbers.
| Purchase Price | 90-Day Payoff | 6-Month Buyout | 12-Month Lease |

Simple strategies to make your lease more affordable and avoid surprises.
This is the single biggest way to save. Aggressive early payoff can save you 50%+ compared to completing the standard lease.
Choose a payment schedule that matches how you get paid. Weekly for hourly workers, bi-weekly for most jobs, monthly for salaried.
Any extra amount reduces your future buyout price. Bonus checks, tax refunds, or a good sales month can shorten your lease.
Your online account shows the current buyout amount. Watch it drop each month and pull the trigger when you can afford it.
Turn on payment reminders and low-balance alerts. Missing a payment is more expensive than the fee it triggers.
If you know a payment will bounce, call customer service first. They often can reschedule or offer a grace period.
Sales tax is typically included in your cash price at checkout and factored into your payment amounts. There are no application fees or hidden charges — the amount you see on screen is the amount that will be drafted from your account.
You can pay off your lease at any time. Between days 1 and 90, you pay the cash price (same as buying with cash). After day 90, you pay a discounted buyout amount that decreases each month. Log into your Progressive Leasing account to see your current buyout price.
No. Progressive Leasing is a lease-to-own agreement, not a loan, so there's no interest. Instead, the difference between the cash price and the total lease cost is called the "lease cost" or "cost of leasing." That amount is disclosed upfront in your lease agreement.
Yes. Log into your online account or call customer service. Most changes to your payment date or frequency can be made with a few days' notice before your next scheduled payment.
You'll typically be charged a returned-payment fee (varies by state) and Progressive Leasing will attempt the payment again. Repeated bounces may require you to catch up manually before the next scheduled draft.
ACH from your linked checking account is the default. Some plans allow one-off payments by debit card through your online account. Personal checks are generally not accepted for scheduled payments.
